Milwaukee hunting industry reportedly in decline

Deer hunting in Wisconsin, a state said to be long fascinated by the thrill of the hunt, is on a gradual decline.
It is a mixed year for hunting in the state with an increase in deer harvest but fewer hunters.
According to the reported preliminary registration numbers, hunters killed 218,114 deer during the recent nine-day hunting period. It showed an 11 percent increase from the 2009 numbers.
Although the 2010 harvest is among the top 25 all-time, it is still off the harvests in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
